IFAD – Jordan Mission

In 2023, during a mission with IFAD, I documented two major IFAD-supported projects in Jordan, focusing on poverty reduction, resilience, and rural development. The two projects were SIGHT and REGEP, located in different cities across Jordan.

The Small Ruminants Investment and Graduating Households in Transition Project (SIGHT) aims to assist vulnerable host communities and Syrian refugees in northern and central Jordan. Its goal is to reduce poverty and improve food security by supporting smallholder livestock farmers with access to productive assets, financial services, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The Rural Economic Growth and Employment Project (REGEP) operates in Ajloun, Jerash, Balqa, Madaba, and Mafraq. This project focuses on creating income-generating opportunities and employment for rural households, particularly women and youth who either live below the poverty line or are at risk of falling into poverty.

The documentation aimed to capture the real-life stories of the beneficiaries on the ground. As a result, two photo books were produced by IFAD to showcase the two projects, supporting IFAD's mission to continue helping small businesses and farmers in various regions.
