In constant motion

In my artistic practice, I aim to create visuals that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also thought-provoking.

Growing up in a small city in Upper Egypt, my introduction to art was always intertwined with societal and community engagement. This perspective has shaped my journey, making it a priority to connect with communities through my work.

Through my imagery, I aim to highlight societal nuances, provoke dialogue, and contribute to positive change in our shared reality. The visual narratives I develop can be summed up in three words: subtle, engaging, and enduring.

Curiosity drives my expression — I seek to tell stories that emerge from our societies while learning more about them, especially those that are often overlooked or left unspoken.

In recent years, I have been particularly passionate about water, through my ongoing project on the Nile River, spanning Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan. I have researched and collected stories, building relationships with Nile residents, water researchers, and scientists to gain deeper insight into one of the world’s most vital rivers. As the Nile faces big challenges, such as climate change, pollution, and political tensions, my work continues to evolve through collaboration, taking me to new places, ideas, and knowledge.

Water is essential to life, yet it is also one of the greatest challenges of our time. Whether we face floods, scarcity, or pollution, water-related crises demand deeper collective understanding. I believe we need to be informed in ways that connect us — helping us recognize both what we have and what we lack. In this, art and visual storytelling play a powerful role in shaping our shared awareness and sense of responsibility toward the world around us.
