From the memory of Cairo and other Egyptian cities in the time of Corona, No one in the city of more than 20 million inhabitants city would have imagined seeing the city empty, a vibrant city that has been so vibrant day and night, been so lethargic.

The capital has been almost at a standstill since mid-March: cafes, restaurants and shops lower their blinds as the night curfew approaches. Residents who venture out of their homes have their faces covered with masks. Schools, mosques and churches have closed for the first time in hundreds of years, as have entertainment venues and tourist sites.
